You know the thing about free speech is that in order to make it healthier;

We need more free speech not less.

I find those that endeavor to shut others down somehow think that it is they alone
who should be the sole arbiters of taste, intelligence, and worthiness
The also seem to not want to openly and honestly debate on equal ground.

Who is it

Who is it that seems to fear actual interchange
Who is it that seems to want to judge rather than explore
Who is it that seems to want to control others and the venue
Rather than deal with an equally open door

It is sad sad sad
But true
For we also speak
By what we do

Anybody can shout something
And then run away
Anybody can whisper gossip
And then play you told them that day

It takes a certain amount of bravery
To seek to go past what you are told
It takes a certain amount of humility
To dare to bear your soul

Every man and woman has cried tears
Every child of light has endured pain
Sometimes how we love the world
Is as simple as our intentions
