This World

This world is now aflame
And I have seen it in the sky
I have seen it in the lovers
That look into one anothers eyes

I have seen it in the madness
That now stalks and walks our streets
I have seen it in the sadness
Of once brave souls that gave into retreat

Much has been said of temporary glory
Much has been given for popular praise
Many steps have been mistakenly taken
That do not account for the

End of days

To be in this world but not of it
This world of awesome beauty and choice
But better to walk on alone forever
Than to give credibility to anything

Let us seek through humility
Our beauty not to hide

It's is not done for the reward
But to pay homage to the light
We are all walking toward
